Glossary
- PQC
- Post-Quantum Cryptography — cryptographic algorithms designed to remain secure against attacks by large-scale quantum computers.
- ML-KEM (FIPS 203)
- Module-lattice-based Key-Encapsulation Mechanism. NIST's primary post-quantum KEM standard.
- ML-DSA (FIPS 204)
- Module-lattice-based Digital Signature Algorithm. NIST's primary post-quantum signature standard.
- SLH-DSA (FIPS 205)
- Stateless Hash-based Digital Signature Algorithm. A conservative signature fallback with different mathematical assumptions.
- Harvest-now, decrypt-later
- Adversary strategy of collecting encrypted traffic today to decrypt it in the future once quantum-decryption capability exists.
- Cryptographic agility
- The property of a system that lets cryptographic primitives be replaced without disruptive change to applications or protocols.
